This includes the extra HD channels that can not be received with SD set top boxes. The unit also comprises of full digital HDMI connection, and also has the felixibilty of the multiple outputting, anabling outputting  to multiple sources at once. The unit also can be used with older style TV's where the screen aspect ratio can be set to 4:3 mode.
